FloydFest is a three-day outdoor world music festival held near the Floyd County line in the Blue Ridge mountains. The event features a remarkably wide array of musical styles and artists from around the globe--everything from reggae and jazz to African drumming and Celtic-rock. Within this musical tapestry are a few traditional Blue Ridge musicians‚ usually bluegrass and old-time performers. The FloydFest atmosphere also includes crafts‚ workshops‚ food‚ a children’s area‚ and a healing arts area. Camping facilities are free with a ticket purchase (there is an additional fee for RV camping)‚ and free shuttles tie the event to off-site parking areas.

Directions: From Floyd‚ Virginia‚ go south on Route 8 to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to Route 720. Watch for signs.
