Schedule: Saturdays as scheduled‚ June thru August

During the summer months‚ the Zion Lutheran Church of Floyd holds outdoor concerts at the Oak Grove Pavilion located behind the historic church. Bands perform old-time‚ bluegrass‚ roots‚ and various other genres of music. Be sure to check the website for a schedule of performances. This event is free‚ although donations are collected for local charities during intermission. Refreshments are available for a small fee. This is a family friendly event‚ with a playground for children on site. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy wonderful evenings of good‚ clean‚ musical fun.

Directions: From Christiansburg/Blacksburg/I-81: Head south on Route 8‚ to Floyd (20.7 M). As you approach the top of the hill‚ in Floyd‚ watch for Needmore Lane‚ on left side. Turn on Needmore Lane. Zion Church is on the left‚ at the end of Needmore Lane (0.9 M). If you miss Needmore‚ keep going to the stop light. Turn left on Route 221. Go through Floyd‚ to Christiansburg Pike. (0.8 M). Harris & Baker Furniture is on the right. Turn left and follow Christiansburg Pike to Needmore Lane (0.8 M) - left turn. Zion Church is on the right‚ just after the turn. From Roanoke: Follow Route 221‚ south‚ to Floyd (19.4 M). As you enter Floyd‚ watch for Christiansburg Pike‚ on the right. Harris & Baker Furniture is on the left. Turn right and follow to Needmore Lane (0.8 M)‚ left turn. Zion Church is on the right‚ just after the turn. If you miss the turn‚ continue to the stop light‚ turn right on Route 8. Turn right at Needmore Lane (0.8 M). Zion Church is on the left‚ at the end of Needmore Lane (0.9 M).
