Saturday evenings year-round a hundred or more mountain dancers converge on the Old Spartan Theater in the town of Sparta‚ where they dance with great energy to the music of different bands from a region that boasts hundreds of exceptional old-time and bluegrass musicians. Flatfoot dancing‚ clogging‚ buck dancing‚ and especially the mountain two-step is the order of the evening at this great place. The Jubilee offers a wonderful opportunity to see real traditional mountain dancers in action. Do not be surprised if someone asks you to dance -- the regulars love to share the fun with all those who attend.

Directions: Take Highway 21 into downtown Sparta. The theater is located on Main Street across from the courthouse.
