Schedule: Family Weekend‚ October or November

The Appalachian Folk Arts Festival is held annually at Radford University during Family Weekend at the school. The date varies‚ but is generally in October; the university website lists the correct date. The festival‚ a celebration of Appalachian heritage‚ is staged at Heth Lawn on the campus. Regional bands play for this event.

Directions: Radford University is located on US 11. From Interstate 81 take exit 109 and follow Route 177 (Tyler Avenue) west and it will take you right into the campus. You will see the signs for the event.
